Hi! it's nice to have you around.
After seeing this what do you think,is it possible?
Yes! Science makes it possible.
Science is working on this type of animals which are commonly termed as hybrids.
Today I am going to tell you about some different types of hybrids created by they are as follows-
1.Liger:(lion+tiger)
Liger: Hercules
This is that giant about which I am talking.
The
liger is a hybrid of a male
lion (
Panthera leo) and a female
tiger (
Panthera tigris). The liger has parents in the same genus but of different species.. The liger is distinct from the similar hybrid called the Tigon and is the largest of all known big catsThey enjoy swimming, which is a characteristic of tigers, and are very sociable like lions.Ligers typically grow larger than either parent species, unlike tigons.
Males reach a total length of 3 to 3.6 m (9.8 to 11.8 ft),which means that they rival even large male lions and tigers in length.Hercules, the largest non-obese liger, is recognised by the
Guinness Book of World Records as the largest living cat on Earth, weighing 418.2 kg
2.Tigon:(Tiger+Lion)
A tigon or tiglon is the hybrid of a male tiger (Panthera tigris) and a female lion (Panthera leo) thus, it has parents with the same genus, but of different species. A pairing of a male lion with a female tiger is called a liger as you know, also by portmanteau.
They often weigh around 180 kilograms (400 lb).
the litigon, a rare hybrid of a male lion and a female tigon, is roughly the same size as the liger, with a male named Cubanacan (at the
Alipore Zoo in India) reaching 363 kg (800 lb). The extreme rarity of these second-generation hybrids may make it difficult to ascertain whether they are larger or smaller, on average, than the liger.
If you're confused between liger and Tigon then see below:
3.Genpets:(Genetically modified pets)
Genpets are a mixed media installation art piece by artist
Adam Brandejs. The project has been shown in multiple galleries in Canada and Europe and has garnered some attention in the mass media.
From the above image you can conclude that genpets are manufactured in two series or variants:
1.1year lifespan
2.3year lifespan
5.Glass Frog: transparent
This one is a simple glass frog. This one is a hybrid frog.
The
glass frogs are frog of the
amphibian family Centrolenidae (
order Anura). While the general background coloration of most glass frogs is primarily lime green, the abdominal skin of some members of this family are transparent.
They are green in color over most of their bodies, except for the skin along the lower surface of the body and legs, which are transparent or translucent.
5.Human ear mouse:Vacanti mouse
The Vacanti mouse was a laboratory mouse. Created in 1996 that had what looked like a human ear grown on its back. It was created to get rid of organ transplantation problem. The "ear" was actually an ear-shaped cartilage structure grown by seeding cow cartilage cells into biodegradable ear-shaped mold and then implanted under the skin of the mouse, with an external ear-shaped splint to maintain the desired shape.
